Drive in
Dance & Radio Performance
DRIVE IN, created in Ticino, has been presented at the Autosilo Piazza del Sole, 3 level parking garage under the main square of Bellinzona, and programmed within the frame of the Festival Territori during July 2016.
The audience was invited to attend in their own car and tune in to a radio frequency about an hour before the show.
Once in site, they would be organised into tow semi-circle parking disposition: a dance performance would take place and each car would enjoy music and a radioplay to the action: sometimes addressing the action entirely, and sometimes belonging to a completely detached layer of information. Thus, the performance would generate a vacuum to be filled with the audience's imagination, as well as loose one's self into the element of the radio performance.
